Hands down the best upgrade for an 870 Shotgun, especially LEO Duty guns and guns being used out doors and in high Humidity areas. The Polymer Trigger Plate is superior to the cast aluminum in many ways. It is More stronger and more durable. There are two plungers that move inside an 870 Trigger plate assembly. In the metal ones you have these metal plungers moving in metal channels, thus metal on metal so more oil is needed. More oil means more gunk build up. In the Polymer plate these plungers move in polymer channels thus less oil is needed and the polymer assures smoother movement of the plungers. I highly recommend this Assembly not just for the Marine but for any 12ga 870 as the parts are all marine coat and less subject to corrosion and wear. Add the fact it cost less then the cast metal assemblies and this part is a win win for sure.
