This is an item that I will not take a return and here is why. These are Remington Factory new and I screw the nut on by hand and screw it off and back on again. So when it leaves here I know it is perfect. Also the threads are super fine and the nut protects the threads in shipping. People try and install this without the proper tools and cross thead them or damage the action bars and then contact me saying the item was damaged when they got it. Well guys that is not possible because I screwed the nut on by hand and it screws right off by hand. So if it is cross threaded the customer did it by not using the right tool or knowing what they were doing.
Factory new Remington 870 forend tube assembly with tube nut. This is a sure way to breath new life into you 870 as the timing cuts on the action bars of the forend tube assembly engage the shell latches and control your feed and function. If you are having feed and function issues this is most often the fix. . Look at your action bars and you will one diagonal cut on each one. If these are chipped or rounded off that is cause your feed issues and this is the fix. Choose 12ga,20ga or 28/410 on the drop down menu. I sell the forend tube assembly only with a new nut as I have found that often the old tube and nut mate to each other and your old nut will will damage the delicate threads of a new tube. Not always the case but once the threads are damaged the tube is FUBAR so it is not worth the risk.
This is the only forend tube assembly made for the 870 12ga. So if you are using it on an older 870 you will have to get a modren slide block or simply cut the additional tab off for you old style slide bock to fit. I recommend a new slide as that extra tab stabilizes the rear of the breech bolt.
There are plenty of good videos on youtube on how to remove and install a forend so I did not do one. If you don't know how to do it then watch several of them so you don't FUBAR the tube. Best to get a proper Forend Wrench and do not risk damage.

Be careful when ordering this part. I have an older rem 870 (70’s or 80’s model) and the newer bolts are different than mine. I had to modify the railing and grind down a portion that my original forend did not have. After my modification it worked great.

had the tube portion of a fleet 870 (unk # of rounds thru it, but well used..) shear off of the two arm portion. Never seen that one! Anyway, purchased this part, perfect fit. 5 minute install and our 870 is up and running. Thanks!

Quality Product - Excellent Customer Service
I bought this for my 1985 870 Express. I did have to hacksaw/file down the extra tab since this is for newer models, but it works perfectly with my original slide block. JD was awesome - had a long and patient conversation with me as a new shotgun owner to help walk me through the issues I was having with removing my old forend castle nut. I'll definitely be coming back to his store and contacting him with future questions. Just earned a life-long customer.
