My Father called me come to Georgia get his guns as he aged past being able to shoot them. This one he bought to shoot coons in his garden. When I got home to Michigan, I was looking at them closer and this one looked brand new. I called and asked him how many times he shot it and he said 5 or 6 times but count the box of 12ga ammo he gave me. I did and there were 14 rounds left so he shot it 11 times. I took 4 and load it and went behind my gun shop and shot it. It had birch wood stocks and a plastic butt stock plate and with no recoil pad it was ouch. I cleaned it and put it up. I decided to make some changes and sell it as I am keeping the main family guns and this was not one. The rear of the stock was curved some so no way to install a recoil pad. So, I installed a new Synthetic set with a nice marshmallow soft Supercell recoil pad. I installed a rear sling stud and a new Magazine cap with sling stud. This gun looks great and runs perfect. If you know of me, you know I was a Remington Factory certified Law Enforcement Armorer and thus certified on the 11/87 Police and thus able to work on 1100 also and have worked on many over the many years. This gun is just as I say it is and you will be well pleased with it.
