I know it is for a shotgun and an 18 year old could buy a complete shotgun, however receivers are treated differently under the NFA as they can be uses to build a pistol. So it can not be transfered to you unless you are 21 or older.

Factory new Remington 870 12ga receiver, Factory Drilled and Tapped for optics. Includes Shell latches and ejector which are factory installed. Finish is Black Oxide. These sold for Retailed for $ 278.99 on the 2020 Remington Parts list (last parts list available ) but those back then were not drilled and tapped like these. Since the Dealer Cost of the New Remington Shotguns has gone up 30% since 2020 I predict the cost of this Receiver will be over $350 once Remington strarts selling part. I have already seen that they increased the price of an 18.5" Bead sight 870 barrel that was $145 in 2020 to $249 MSRP. I can do the price I have them listed for because they are new in the box stipped down and parted out. I do not want to be left with all these receivers to clog up my gun books.

I purchased 2022 production guns from the New Owners of Remington and parted them out. I am left with these. If you understand there is only one 870 12ga receiver and the models only differ in finish then you understand how good a deal this is. You should buy one even if you don't need it because you might one day. Besides, if you have a new receiver it gives you an excuse to build another gun one day.
