The Key here is Detent or non Detent.
Express models and some others have two detents that retains the magazine retainer. So the follower has two groves that allow The magazine spring retainor to be installed or removed. It is plastic and has teeth which also retain your magazine cap. However if your Express Tactical came with a Remington tube extension it does not use Detented Followers.
Wingmaster and Police models do not have detents and use a metal sping retainer and the magazine is retained with a plunget that is staked into the barrel ring.
Take your magazine cap off and look down in the magazine if you see the plastic retainer with teeth you need a Detented Follower, If you see a flat metal retainer you need a Non Detented Follower. Follow this and you won't mess up.
All 12ga followers fit all 12ga models. I only sell the one with detent groves as it works in all models. The groves allow it to work in the Express and the are illrelevent in the Police, Tactical and Wingmaster models so they work fine
I have 20ga Detented Followers and Non Detented Followers. 28ga and .410 are all non Detent
So, if you are certain you got it buy a couple as they should be replaced often. If uncertain then give me a call as returning and sending stuff a second time sucks.
